Antonio of the county land bank described a 2024 study nominating the site for redevelopment, offered the land bank's resources and grant experience, and said the land bank would partner to help move projects from predevelopment to buildout. Resident commenter Clint Colic raised concerns about prior projects that received incentives but failed to deliver promised jobs or tax benefits and urged clear safeguards so the city is not left with costs if a developer fails to perform. Mayor and staff said timing and details will be addressed as the development plan is advanced.
