District updates early childhood center timeline, elevator modernizations and parking‑lot design

The board received a multi‑item construction and capital planning update Feb. 11 from Marc Rogers of CCS International.
Rogers said bid packages for the Brian Dominick Early Childhood Center were opened Jan. 8, 2026 and that the district plans to vet proposals with bid award recommendations and contract execution targeted for March 2026 and construction to start late March. Abatement and demolition of the existing foundation are ongoing, and a CUD/PUD application received town approval Jan. 15, 2026.
Rogers also reported progress on elevator modernizations at the Service Center and several schools, a geotechnical study for the West 23rd parcel parking lot and an MWRD permit pre‑application meeting to discuss stormwater improvements. HVAC re‑commissioning and ductwork reconfiguration are scheduled during spring break; Lincoln fire damage remediation has been completed in adjacent rooms and administration building crack monitoring continues.
