Enrollment dips slightly; teacher raises concerns about special‑education placements

She also outlined testing schedules (mClass complete, NWEA MAP in progress, iReady diagnostic after winter break) and plans for projections for next year.
During the public comment period teacher Cynthia Covelli said she was concerned about "the misplacement of special education students" and asserted that "the district does not use apps to help students with IEPs like in other neighboring school districts" and that "the district does not take concerns seriously and was a disadvantage to the students." Assistant Superintendent Elisabeth Nealon and Dr. Mycyk had previously reported that the Special Education Department completed Quarter 2 PD sessions and that the EC Inclusion Team conducted Pre‑K walkthroughs as part of inclusion goals.
