Alvarez said abatement and demolition are ongoing and approximately 85% complete with anticipated completion by the end of February 2026.
Alvarez also reported that elevator modernizations at Liberty and Columbus West have passed final inspection, Service Center modernization remains in progress, Eriksson Engineering was selected to consult on the West 23rd Parcel Parking Lot and retro‑commissioning work to resolve HVAC issues continues across multiple schools. The board had no questions during the open session presentation.
