DOT project staff updated the committee on two ongoing roadway projects. Staff said Baxter & Woodman's drone videos documenting Randall Road construction won a marketing excellence award and that the DOT plans to show two videos (one from May and a newer, not-yet-posted video) to illustrate recent progress and public engagement.
On the Charles J. Miller work, staff said crews are forming part of the deck and that a dry run for concrete paving is scheduled this week with tentative paving of initial deck sections next Tuesday. Staff also said a planned Miller closure to facilitate partial demolition and above-grade work near the intersection would last about "8, maybe 10 weeks," depending on conditions.
