Dr. Griffin reviewed recent performance data, acknowledged both progress and remaining challenges, and pointed to new instructional supports, including the i-Ready program for English Language Arts and math.
Griffin said the district is developing initiatives to strengthen relationships with families and local organizations and proposed consolidating the district's middle schools into a single, state-of-the-art facility to better concentrate resources. After her remarks the audience gave a standing ovation. The board subsequently authorized a West40 contract to support strategic planning work.
