PTO, Foundation and PAA updates; staff and student recognitions at Lockport SD 91 meeting

At the Feb. 10 meeting the board heard updates from the D91 PTO, D91 Foundation and PAA and recognized staff and student groups, including Star Staff nominations and KG student clubs.
Early in the meeting Board Vice‑President Courtney Oxley‑Turner delivered the D91 PTO and PAA updates: PTO events include a Mangia Pizza kickback night and a Big‑Small Ball on Feb. 27; PAA announced an end‑of‑season celebration at the Windy City Bulls game on March 8 and a $500 scholarship from the KG PAA for LTHS participants. Mrs. Caneva‑Lopez reported the D91 Foundation’s dodgeball tournament with PAA is scheduled for April 10 in the KG Hornet’s Nest.
Superintendent Dr. Wilkey and the board recognized Mr. Burdette, Mrs. Kane, Mrs. Olson and Mr. Wagner as the district Star Staff for February. Staff also recognized student groups and milestones: the KG Nature Club, KGTV, KG students of the month and Milne Grove Star Students were acknowledged in the meeting minutes.
