Board clerk reports multiple FOIA requests; most satisfied, one pending

During open session the district reviewed a set of FOIA requests and their status. Several requests by "Friends of the Great Mayor Katrina Thompson," requests from Angela Evans, Keith Bailey (Illinois Retired Teachers Association), CT Mills (Public Info Access, LLC), and "Althea" were listed as satisfied. A request from Justin Wenig (March 31, 2026) seeking all purchase orders and payments for non-person/vendor entities from January 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026 remained pending at the time the minutes were prepared.
Notably, one March 18 request by "Althea" sought an "External review of the business office/payroll and accounts payable practices," and a March 17 request sought photos and video from Freedom School 2025 referencing a "sex toy business" and related records; those FOIAs are recorded as satisfied in the minutes. The minutes show the district responded to or completed the majority of the listed requests.
