Students, coaches and performers recognized at Lemont Twp HSD 210 November meeting

The Lemont Township High School District 210 Board recognized several students and coaches at its Nov. 17 meeting. Students of the Month for November 2025 were Taylor Thorsness, Charlie Brandt, Edvin Morochin and Lily Crowther. The minutes record that Lemont businessman Brad Grcevic of Edward Jones will make a donation to the American Cancer Society on behalf of the November Students of the Month.
Director of Athletics Mike Sommerfeld recognized coaches and athletic qualifiers, including Chris Hill (South Suburban Conference Girls’ Tennis Coach of the Year), Rick Prangen (South Suburban Conference Boys’ Soccer Coach of the Year), Chris Zogata (Girls’ Volleyball Coach of the Year), and student qualifiers across IHSA state competitions. Principal Eric Michaelsen recognized Kinga Strzalka for a perfect 36 on the ACT and as a 2025 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist, along with other scholastic distinctions and Marching Band finalists. "Representing the Board of Education, Member Gray congratulated them on their accomplishments," the minutes state.
