District assessment coordinator Kathryn Heeke presented winter MAP and i-Ready Math results, reporting year-over-year improvements in student progress and achievement.
Heeke told the board that, compared with Spring 2024 to Winter 2025, D105 saw record-high progress and achievement in both MAP Math and Reading, with a greater percentage of students reaching winter growth goals and more students performing at or above typical grade-level norms. She also reported that i-Ready Math winter data show a higher share of students at or above grade level compared with last winter. The district plans to disaggregate data by subgroup, consider multiple data points (MAP, IAR, classroom assessments, FastBridge), and focus professional development on math and literacy practices.
Upcoming assessments noted included the Illinois Assessment for Readiness (IAR) in March, MAP in April, and i-Ready Math (K–5) in May. The district will continue data meetings and refine instructional supports based on the assessment results.
