Board reviews 2026–27 calendar drafts and adopts FY27 budget calendar

Trustees discussed that Nov. 3, 2026 (gubernatorial election) will be a non‑attendance date and therefore the district will serve as a polling place; the committee proposed adjusted parent–teacher conference days and several options for handling Good Friday and spring-break return days.
Board members adopted a separate, formal resolution to establish Fiscal Year 2027 and the associated budget calendar to begin the FY27 budget process (motion by Mrs. Young, seconded by Mr. Kosenesky). The discussion of calendar options (labelled A–F in materials) included possible institute-day swaps, moving the start date, and tradeoffs that would shift the last day of student attendance to either May 28 or June 1 depending on the option chosen. The board did not adopt a final public calendar at this meeting beyond approving the FY27 budget calendar timeline for preparation.
