During the July 8 meeting, board member Suzy Stevens gave a facilities update listing completed inspections and ongoing summer work at Komarek School.
Stevens reported the district completed inspections of fire alarms, elevators, fire extinguishers and bleachers. Recent projects included retreading a stairwell in the renovated west building and installing new doors in the east building; auditorium doors are scheduled for replacement next week and window repairs above the preschool courtyard and on the renovated building's northeast elevation are scheduled for July. The district plans an asphalt/striping refresh for the parking lot, drop-off lanes and playground at the end of the month, a full deep cleaning of the school, and a fresh load of mulch in August before classes begin. Stevens thanked Luis Gonzalez for coordinating these projects.
The minutes do not list contract vendors, project costs, or exact start/end dates beyond the month references.
