JHS cross-country runners qualify for IHSA state finals; coaches and students recognized

The board recognized Jacksonville High School cross-country athletes who qualified for the Illinois High School Association State Finals. JHS Assistant Principal and Athletic Director Ryan VanAken introduced Coach Breck VanBebber, who highlighted freshman Zorina Bohannon's first season and sophomore Mille Schumacher's record-setting season that earned each a spot at IHSA State Finals.
Coach VanBebber noted that this was Bohannon's first season running cross-country and that she qualified for state finals; he also described Schumacher's season as record-setting. The recognition was presented as part of the meeting's roster of acknowledgements and required no board action.
