Board approves multiple personnel changes, hires and stipends

The Jacksonville School District #117 Board approved a slate of personnel recommendations that included resignations (Marie Swift, Special Education Paraprofessional, effective Dec. 31, 2025), terminations (Ryan Bartlett, Payroll & Insurance Coordinator, effective Dec. 2, 2025), a retirement (Cynthia Helmich, Special Education Paraprofessional, effective Jan. 30, 2026), multiple new hires and promotions (including Victoria Follman promoted from long-term substitute to Science Teacher and Daisy Wood promoted to Physical Education Teacher, effective Dec. 18, 2025), stipends for extracurricular positions, volunteer approvals, and an approved maternity leave for Elizabeth Hamilton.
The personnel block also recorded that two positions were converted from long-term substitutes to certified staff after those substitutes received certification, per Director of Human Resources Tami Stice. Mrs. Stewart moved and Mrs. Wilson seconded approval of the personnel recommendations; the vote was recorded as unanimous where given.
