At its Oct. 8, 2025 regular meeting the Itasca School District #10 Board of Education approved five action memoranda covering routine consent items, policy second readings and three resolutions.
Member James Barthel moved approval of Action Memorandum FY26-#10 (consent items); Member O'Neill seconded and the motion carried with the following recorded ayes: Barthel, O'Neill, Giambrone, Patel, Amayun, Diestel, Shannon (no nays or abstentions recorded). Member Patel moved approval of Action Memorandum FY26-#11 (approval of second readings of policies); Member Barthel seconded and the motion carried with the same unanimous ayes. Member Barthel moved Action Memorandum FY26-#12, a resolution authorizing Business Manager Dr. Bein to procure and approve electric service contracts with Nania Energy Advisors; Member O'Neill seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Member Diestel moved Action Memorandum FY26-#13 (approval of destruction of closed session audio tapes); Member Giambrone seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Member Barthel moved Action Memorandum FY26-#14, a resolution to support creation of the Randy Okrzesik Civic Excellence Award (a civics learning and merit award); Member Amayun seconded and the motion carried with all members voting aye.
The board recorded the meeting adjournment at 8:02 p.m. after Mr. Benes agreed to return with a timeline for board-requested reports. These five approved memoranda were listed on the meeting record as FY26-#10, FY26-#11, FY26-#12, FY26-#13 and FY26-#14 and were reflected in the official roll-call recorded in the minutes.
