Board approves amended 2026–27 calendar and updates dozens of district policies

The North Shore SD 112 board approved an amended 2026–27 school calendar that sets June 3, 2027 as the last day of school. The amended calendar had been discussed at the January board meeting and was presented by Executive Director for Personnel Services Rachel Filippi.
In the same segment of the agenda the board approved a package of policy updates after prior discussion in January. The list presented to the board included revisions to policies on board development and committees (2:120, 2:150), discrimination and harassment (2:270), fiscal and business management (4:10), revenue and investments (4:30), accounting and audits (4:80), student behavior and safety (7:190, 7:180), curriculum (6:40, 6:60) and multiple others. Board members moved to approve the updates and the consent motions for these policy changes were recorded in the minutes.
