The Board of Education for North Shore SD 112 on Dec. 16 recognized organizers of the 112 Education Foundation’s FUNd Run for a fundraising effort that drew over 1,200 participants and "raised a total of $58,000." President Art Kessler and members expressed appreciation for volunteer co-chairs Kristi Forehand, Sara Ravich, Lindsie Miller, Rachel Milner, Keri Serota and Elaine Weinberg, and singled out executive director Susan Kaden for leadership.
Board members and administrators noted the event’s scale and volunteer investment, saying the annual 5K race and family walk is a major community undertaking that supports foundation programs across the district. The recognition was part of the meeting’s opening presentations; no board action was required.
