The Norridge School District 80 Board approved a comprehensive consent agenda on Feb. 17 that included program approvals, calendar adjustments and vendor payments.
Items approved included meeting-date changes (March 17 moved to March 18; June 23 moved to June 16), the registration plan for 2026–27, NSD 80 Summer School and Extended School Year (ESY) programs for June 2026, curriculum and tuition fees for 2026–27, the preschool calendar for 2026–27, and adoption of MySchoolBucks (Heartland) for collecting school fees starting in 2026–27. The Board also approved job descriptions for the District Bookkeeper and the Administrative Assistant to the Board and Superintendent, and authorized the Chief School Business Official to begin work on the FY27 budget.
The consent vote also authorized destruction of specified closed session recordings (listed dates) and approval of monthly bills (items $3,000 and over). The minutes list major vendors and amounts, including Northwest Suburbs Special Education Organization — $80,893.57; Safeway Transportation Services — $37,518.37; Citywide Building Maintenance Inc. — $34,216.17; OrganicLife — $22,958.59; Constellation New Energy — $19,213.90; and multiple Wold Architects & Engineers entries totaling more than $23,000. The Board recorded acceptance of a $2,555.00 donation from the PTA for a Leigh School sound system. The motion to approve items 15A–15Q was moved by Mrs. Theodore and seconded by Mr. Poljak and passed by unanimous voice vote.
Why it matters: these approvals set operational parameters for the 2026–27 school year, commit the district to specific vendors and authorize work on next year’s budget. Board members asked one clarification about restructuring existing positions related to a retiree; Superintendent Guzik confirmed the district is reallocating responsibilities rather than adding a new role.
No contested items were recorded during the vote.
