Superintendent Dr. Tom Lind described cost savings, including use of JBT Landscaping at RB, before the board approved both positions on motions by Mailfald, seconded by Johnson; each motion passed 7–0.
The board moved into closed session later in the meeting to consider personnel matters. After closed session, Dr. Lind recommended Chris Lynk for the Shared Services Director role; the board approved the appointment on a motion by Mailfald, seconded by Johnson, with a 7–0 roll-call vote.
