Superintendent updates board on Head Start, TIFs and outstanding state payment of $12,603.44

Superintendent Ryan Swan gave several district updates at the Dec. 11 meeting. He said Head Start classrooms spent November learning about transportation, held a community vehicle parade, served a Thanksgiving meal to 147 families and are preparing a 'Countdown to Christmas' family event.
Swan told the board he is awaiting additional information from the City of Mount Vernon about local TIF districts. He also reported that the State owed the district $12,603.44 as of Nov. 30, 2025. Separately, the QNS contract remains under legal review by district counsel; the board will be updated when counsel completes any revisions.
