After returning from closed session, the board approved personnel actions that were presented, including the hire of Bryn Pasley as an 8th-grade math teacher at Zadok Casey Middle School for the 2025–26 school year at B Step 2 ($45,727) and a slate of classified hires for paraprofessionals and cook helpers with step and hourly placements recorded in the 2025–2026 salary schedules.
The board approved a dismissal of Linda Soderlund as a cook helper effective Aug. 15, 2025, authorized several employee transfers tied to building assignments and licensure outcomes, and accepted multiple resignations — including board member David Edwards (effective Aug. 9, 2025) and several paraprofessionals and support staff. The board also accepted the retirement notice from Julie Kujawa effective at the close of the 2028–29 school year and approved maternity leaves as presented.
All personnel votes recorded in the minutes passed by unanimous roll call. The board noted it must appoint a replacement for the vacant board seat within 60 days of receiving David Edwards’ resignation.
