The Building and Grounds Committee presented a package of facility improvements to the board with an estimated total cost of $291,333. Recommended items included resealing the back parking lot, finishing masonry work, purchasing a scoreboard with shot clock, running water to the baseball and softball fields, redoing turf on the football field and track, repairing tennis courts last updated in 2007, and epoxy flooring for kitchen and locker rooms.
The board instructed staff to let bids on specific items during the meeting. Motions to let bids for the back parking lot and for outstanding masonry maintenance work passed unanimously. The district discussed energy-saving options tied to Alpha Controls and noted prior dates for turf and tennis upgrades (turf and track last done in 2011; tennis courts updated in 2007).
The committee and board said they will prioritize projects and proceed through bid solicitations and background administrative review before contracting work.
