Eagle Scout projects restore Davis Creek fundraising and add benches at Swan Lake

Megan Velasquez summarized a Swan Lake beautification project in November 2025 that cleared invasive vegetation, repaired trails and installed eight Leopold bird‑watching benches along a newly named Bench Trail. Velasquez said volunteers logged about 167 hours and that nearly $2,000 in lumber was donated by MasterCraft and Lowe’s; the project also used anchoring techniques so benches withstand Swan Lake flooding. Rangers and staff commended both scouts for volunteer leadership that aided post‑fire restoration and visitor amenities.
