Policy Committee recommends Board adopt portions of PRESS Issue #120, excluding several policies and AP exhibits

The Rankin School District #98 Policy Committee reviewed PRESS Issue #120 (October 2025) on Dec. 17, 2025 and decided to recommend adoption to the full Board of Education with multiple exclusions. The Committee—led by Dr. Matt Gordon with committee members Jen Helfers and Dan Pollman present—explicitly excluded policies 6:220, 6:300, 6:310, 6:315, 6:320, and 7:315 from its recommendation.
The minutes also record that the Committee will add the PRESS Issue's exhibits and administrative procedures to the District AP Manual while adding 8:25-AP with Rankin-specific edits. Several administrative procedure exhibits were singled out for exclusion from the AP Manual: 6:60-AP1, 6:60-AP1,E1, 6:60-AP2, 6:300-E2, 6:300-E3, and 6:310-E. The Committee's action was a recommendation to the full Board rather than a final Board vote.
