Policy Committee recommends Board adopt PRESS Issue #119 with Rankin edit to policy 7:300

The Rankin School District #98 Policy Committee discussed PRESS Issue #119 (June 2025) at its rescheduled meeting on Dec. 17, 2025, and determined to recommend that the full Board of Education adopt all policies included in that PRESS Issue, with a local edit to policy 7:300. Dr. Matt Gordon, serving as the meeting chair, led the discussion with committee members Jen Helfers and Dan Pollman present; Leann Kohl was absent.
The Committee also decided to add the PRESS Issue's exhibits and administrative procedures to the District's AP Manual, with the single exception of 7:240-AP2,E1, which the Committee chose to exclude. The minutes record the Committee's determination as a recommendation to the full Board rather than a final Board adoption; the recommendation will be forwarded to the Board for action at a later meeting.
