The Rantoul City Schools #137 board voted Oct. 16 to approve the consent agenda covering minutes, personnel, donations, reauthorizations and intergovernmental agreements. The consent packet included an agreement with Thomasboro to share student transportation for a Thomasboro student and agreements with Paxton‑Buckley‑Loda for medical insurance coverage via the Illinois Educators Risk Management Program Association.
Item 4b (approval of bills and the treasurer's report) was removed from the initial consent motion and later discussed and approved separately. The consent motion as approved included ratification of bills prepaid by the finance manager under Board Policy 4:50 and a stipulation that new hires must comply with Illinois statutes and RCS policies. The motion to approve the consent agenda (removing 4b) was made by Niki Pettit and seconded by Katie Johnston; the motion carried (6‑0, 1 absent). Later the board approved item 4b on a motion by Katie Johnston and seconded by Niki Pettit.
The packet also listed two authorized contracts under $25,000: Presidio Networked Solutions LLC for $21,533.67 and NOW Immigration Law LLC for $8,000.
