At the Nov. 24 meeting the Pekin Community High School Board approved payment of monthly warrants totaling $3,424,242.91; the motion was made by Scott Ewing and seconded by Stephen Huey and carried with four members present and two absent. CFO Carla Schaefer provided the district’s financial snapshot as of Oct. 31, 2025: bank balances of $33,100,484.46, district investments of $13,219,457.44, and a medical care report showing ($79,766.44).
Board members did not debate the warrants in detail during public session; payment was approved as submitted. The approval allows the district to meet vendor and payroll obligations; the board will continue to review budget items as part of its December agenda.
