At the Oct. 15 meeting the board heard the Superintendent's Report noting Principal Appreciation Week, scheduled for Oct. 20–24, and a theme from staff stories emphasizing principals' daily work and district values.
The minutes state that staff "shared their stories" and that the common theme was how principals demonstrate values such as selfless service, courage and inclusivity. Assistant Superintendent Dr. Smit presented a communications update, saying the district is exploring tools to "tell our story," and cited "audio briefs, podcasts, and videos with graphics" as examples that could be shared across audiences to increase engagement.
Board members did not ask questions during the report, and no formal action was taken. Staff indicated they will continue evaluating outreach formats and bring proposals forward as appropriate.
