The Palos Heights School District 128 Board recognized preschool staff Sept. 17 for earning Gold status in the Preschool for All audit. The district named staff and paraprofessionals who contributed to the rating, including Preschool Director Dee Potempa and several teachers and paraprofessionals.
In the Superintendent's report the district said "Preschool continues to fill, as we had 15 additional students identified at our last screening. We have approximately 20 spots available, and we do expect to fill those by December. Our total district enrollment is approaching 800." The recognition and enrollment update underscore ongoing demand for early-childhood slots and were cited as context for broader budget and program planning.
