District recommends renewing AlphaBEST aftercare with 3% tuition increase for 2026–27

Dr. Holly Colin presented a recommendation to renew the AlphaBEST agreement for before- and after-school care for the 2026–27 school year, extending services through June 30, 2027. The proposed renewal is the second extension of a 2024 agreement and includes a 3% tuition increase to cover staffing and operational costs; discounts will continue for siblings, military families, those eligible for free and reduced lunch and district staff.
Dr. Colin told the Board the district surveyed participating families and reported an overall satisfaction rating of 4.1 out of 5, while concerns were concentrated on consistency in communication and activities. The Board will be asked to approve the renewal at the April meeting.
