The Mount Vernon City Schools, District 80 Board of Education approved its consent agenda during the Oct. 9 regular meeting. Vice President Sierra Daniels presented the items, and a motion by Brian Blok, seconded by Kent Jackson, passed by roll call with five ayes and one absence.
The consent agenda covered approval of minutes and bills, the treasurer's report, recorded FOIA requests, reviewed board policy updates, and approved MACE job descriptions. It also included several Head Start items for 2025'2026: the Governance, Leadership and Oversight Capacity Screener; the Health and Safety Screener; and a FY25 Change in Scope Amendment and associated documents. The roll call vote on the motion recorded Ayes from Blok, Jackson, Flanigan, Reynolds and Daniels; Jaymie Nunnery was recorded as absent. The approvals allow staff to proceed with the Head Start amendments and to publish the adopted budget report.
