Mendota High School received a 2025 state report card rating of "Commendable," Principal Masini told the board on Nov. 17.
Masini presented the school summary: "Graduation Rate= 92% (up 8%)," chronic absenteeism at 20% (compared with a state average of 25.4%), teacher retention of 92.3% and enrollment of 486 (an increase of 13). He noted ELA, math and science proficiency percentages (ELA 41.6%, Math 36.8%, Science 36%) and said the SIP team is evaluating results after district practice ACT testing for students in grades 9–11 on Oct. 31.
The board took the data as informational and discussed next steps for academic supports and monitoring. No formal programmatic changes were adopted at the meeting; the report will inform the SIP team's work going forward.
