Board approves consent agenda, payment of bills and personnel packet; enters closed session
Summary
On Aug. 12 the District 208 board unanimously approved the consent agenda and payment of bills, entered closed session and then approved a personnel packet with resignations, hires, stipends and volunteers. All formal motions carried by the six members present.
The Board of Education approved several formal motions during its Aug. 12, 2025 meeting. Trustee Lorena Gasca moved to approve the consent agenda (including minutes of the July 8 meetings); the motion was seconded and carried with six AYE votes (Caputo, Durkin, Gasca, Novak, Williams, Zalas) and one absent (Hruska).
The board also approved payment of bills as presented in the agenda packet (motion moved by Gasca, seconded by Durkin) and then voted to enter closed session to consider personnel, student discipline, property transactions and other listed matters. After reconvening, the board approved the personnel packet. Each recorded motion listed in the packet carried unanimously among members present.
