Community members press Rantoul board for clearer bullying policy and better family communication

Chez Bennett of the Rantoul Family Advocacy Coalition thanked the board for prior engagement and asked for more ways to bridge communication between administrators, schools and families, and for equal advocacy for Black and Brown students and staff bias training. Sabrina Rivera, a parent with the same coalition, praised staff and the SRO while urging multiple notification methods (phone calls, texts, emails) and confidential staff reporting options. "She is thankful that there is a bullying flyer going out that is more user friendly in explaining how to report a bullying situation," the transcript states.
