During discussion of items removed from the consent agenda, board member Debbra Sweat said she had reviewed the SuperEval tool and asked for a committee to redo the board's current superintendent evaluation, arguing the present instrument lacks short- and long-term benchmarks. Robin Vaughn and Niki Pettit said the district's existing tool already contains many of SuperEval's features and suggested revisiting the tool next year after the board has used it.
After discussion, the board voted to approve the Superintendent Evaluation Tool 2025–2026 (motion by Katie Johnston, seconded by Diana Mendoza) by a 7-0 tally. The record shows the item had been removed from the consent agenda for separate consideration and then adopted with the full board present.
