District to continue re-keying project next year and pursue several summer building projects

Staff reported year two of a three-year re-keying project will occur this summer with all classrooms to be completed, and presented a list of summer projects including an air-curtain trial at Door 25, bollards at the Jefferson Street entry and repairs to Torry gym; Kopinski requested an updated list be shared with Facilities and the board.
Beverlin told the Finance Committee that year two of a three-year re-keying project will be completed this summer and that all classrooms will be re-keyed by the end of the season; the final year of the project will address locks in the gyms and common areas.
She also presented a list of planned 2026 summer projects that include an air curtain trial at Door 25, installation of bollards at the Jefferson Street stadium entry and repairs to Torry gym. Committee member Kopinski requested an updated project list be shared with the Facilities Committee and the full Board of Education.
The minutes indicate planning and scheduling direction; no formal actions or contract awards were recorded at the committee level in the minutes.
