Freeman reported that for 2026–27 the district plans to add two new positions (a construction teacher and a WSTS payroll position) and listed replacement hires including one Spanish teacher, two Deans, music activities and transportation secretary, and a job coach. Eyres asked about an associate athletic director due to program growth; Freeman said the district will continue to have that position.
The board entered executive session at 8:03 p.m. under statutory exemptions for personnel and collective bargaining. After returning at 8:57 p.m., trustees approved the employment of Jacob Yocum and Melissa Davidson as Deans and extended contracts for current faculty for the 2026–2027 school year; votes on those items were 6–0.
