School administrators reported enrollment and testing plans during the March 9 board meeting.
Superintendent‑level staff member Freeman reported district enrollment at 1,335 students and attributed the decrease to midterm graduates. Winter, the Administrator for Instructional Data and Research, said the 5Essentials survey showed strong student participation and that standardized assessments (ACT and PreACT) are scheduled as digital administrations on April 14 and April 15, with in‑person training set for March 23 during a late‑start day.
Board members discussed curriculum work through PLCs and heard from department heads in recent committee meetings about first‑year PLC experiences. The testing timeline and participation rates were presented as part of ongoing instructional planning.
