WCHS honors All‑State musicians and state wrestling finalists

The Washington Community High School Board of Education on March 9 recognized students selected for All‑State music ensembles and IHSA state wrestling finalists.
Dr. Reem explained the selection process used to nominate and select All‑State musicians. The board read names of students honored across ensembles, including All State Jazz Choir member Maya Mahaffey and members of the All State Band such as Sophie Bowman and Layla Ziegler. Coach Miller recognized wrestling finalists Josh Hoffer, Logan Makiney, Wyatt Medlin and Symon Woods, noting they are seniors who "left great legacy."
