The River Trails School District 26 Finance Committee on Nov. 11 reviewed anticipated timing for delayed tax revenue and moved several finance items to the full Board. Assistant Superintendent Ryan Berry said the county assessor would issue tax bills that week and the district expected revenue to post late December to early January; he said current funds cover expenses through January so no interim borrowing or action was required.
The committee also reviewed a resolution to transfer funds from the Education Fund and the Operations & Maintenance Fund to the Debt Service Fund. Chair Louis Camardo called for a voice vote to bring the resolution to the Board for adoption; the committee agreed to advance it. Camardo also called a voice vote to bring a tentative 2025 tax levy schedule to the Board. The proposed timeline in the minutes: Nov. 11 — certify tentative levy; Nov. 28 — publish legal notice; Dec. 9 — Board/public hearing and levy adoption; Dec. 31 — final day to file levy with County Clerk.
