Child Nutrition Task Force: food cart ready; student and parent surveys set to close in May

Donna Lebetsamer and Margaret Hall provided the committee with updates from the Child Nutrition Program Task Force. They reported the PRLJH/HS food cart is now ready to operate. The PRLJH/HS student survey is in the process of being released with a completion date of Thursday, May 21, 2026; the District Parent Survey has a completion date of Friday, May 29, 2026.
The Task Force flagged the Free & Reduced online form currently requires download/print and return; they asked the district to convert it to a web-fillable form. The minutes note that the Board previously approved use of the Innovia Fund to support the Child Nutrition Program, and the Task Force viewed using those funds to pay for the web-form conversion as a reasonable, in-budget use.
No formal vote was recorded at the Finance Committee on specific spending; the use of Innovia Fund for Child Nutrition had been approved by the Board prior to this committee discussion.
