Board hears committee reports: SASED facility planning, IASB calendar and FTC events

Superintendent Dr. Zaher reported that the SASED Board of Directors is continuing discussions about its facility plans; she serves on SASED's Facilities Committee and noted ongoing work with the governing board. Board member Mr. Kielminski discussed the distinct roles of SASED's Board of Directors and governing board.
Other communications noted: the IASB fall dinner on Oct. 29 and the Triple I Conference upcoming. FTC updates included funding for field trips, golf club repairs and the 25th year of support for the 7th-grade ELA publishing project. FTC announced Fall Fest at Salt Creek and a Casino Night fundraiser at Normandy Banquet Hall on Nov. 14 from 7-10 p.m.
Mr. Kielminski also shared thank-you cards received by the board, and District 88 board briefs were acknowledged as received.
