District 208 board approves minutes, payments, Ehlert Park cost-share and personnel packet

President Deanna Zalas called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.; the board entered closed session at 7:39 p.m. and reconvened at 8:45 p.m.
The consent agenda included approval of minutes (Resolution #15197). The board approved payment of bills as presented (Resolution #15198). The cost-sharing agreement among the Village of Brookfield, District 208, and the Brookfield Babe Ruth Western Conference to proceed with Ehlert Park Field One improvements passed as Resolution #15199. All of the above motions carried by recorded vote: all seven members present voted AYE and none voted NAY. The personnel packet (Resolution #15201) was approved after closed session; among the personnel items were a retirement notice and several coach stipends and volunteer appointments.
"The Board of Education, Township High School District 208, approves the payment of bills as presented in the October 14, 2025, Board Agenda packet," the minutes record for the payment motion. The meeting adjourned at 8:46 p.m. following a motion by President Zalas and second by Lorena Gasca (Resolution #15202).
The board discussed, but did not finalize, a draft agreement related to an SB637 field project and requested additional review time for proposed Board Operating Procedures and revised district goals; those items are expected to return for action at a future meeting.
