District administrators report enrollment timeline, ESY plans, tech demos and maintenance updates

District administrators provided operational updates during the Jan. 20 meeting. Superintendent Kirsten Frankovich said enrollment procedures are being put in place and the district hopes to open registration by mid‑March; she also thanked maintenance and custodial staff for their response to a recent snow squall. Director of Student Services Nora Skentzos reported Extended School Year will be housed at Reed from June 2 through June 30.
Assistant Superintendent for Business Services Dave Blatchley said the business office is busy with year‑end close and highlighted a boardbook presentation on Mandated Categoricals and funding challenges for Illinois districts. Director of Technology Sean Walsh reported that HBS hardware shipments have been inventoried but some items remain back‑ordered and that the district will demo two software platforms (Verkata and Raptor). Director of Maintenance Gary Moser updated the board on recent staff resignations and completed work.
