Board awards Bruning abatement and floor-replacement bids and WHS exterior contract

The asbestos-abatement contract for Bruning Elementary was awarded to NES Environmental for a base bid of $38,245 and an alternate bid of $8,500. The board approved TSI Commercial Floor Covering for Bruning floor replacement (base $31,375; alternate $11,740). For Wilmington High School, the board approved Cosgrove Construction for caulking precast panel joints and exterior painting (base $64,550; alternate bids $95,050 and $27,150).
Motions were approved by roll call with the board voting in favor of the recommended low bidders. The administration indicated these projects address building safety and building envelope maintenance and will proceed under the district's procurement process.
