Superintendent outlines FOIA responses, repairs from power outage and free staff flu shots

Superintendent Kevin Feeney told the board the district responded to two Freedom of Information Act requests: one from Jacob Long of PublicDataResearch.org seeking a staff listing, and another from Tony Walk of the Chicago Laborer's District Council seeking documentation about the awarded contractor for the Building Trades project; Dr. Swick provided an Excel staff listing and a BID acceptance letter to Muffler Concrete as part of the responses.
Feeney said a power outage on Aug. 28 damaged equipment at Stevens (intercom, chiller and clocks) and that repairs are covered under warranty. He also recommended offering staff flu shots again this year at no cost to employees; the shots are scheduled for Sept. 30 from 2:30'4:30 P.M. at the district office, according to the minutes.
