The Wilmington Community Unit School District No. 209-U Board of Education on Oct. 20 approved its consent agenda, ratifying September–October accounts payable and payroll bills and accepting donations to school programs.
Among the financial actions the board ratified were AP bills numbered 81410–81512 and wires 8000292–8000293 for September–October in the amount of $1,076,846.49, multiple payroll runs and the Imprest Fund report for September totaling $7,251.00. The board also authorized continued investment of unencumbered funds and approved student activity and monthly financial reports.
The board approved routine facility-use requests for athletic and theater uses and accepted two named donations: $1,000 to the Wilmington Middle School Track and Field program and $5,000 to school lunch accounts. The motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Lauren Kempes and seconded by Chris Alberico; the minutes record the vote as Alberico-aye, Cragg-aye, Dziuban-absent, Kempes-aye, Kunz-aye, Southall-aye, Anderson-absent.
