The Wilmington Community Unit School District No. 209-U Board of Education unanimously adopted Resolution 13-25, approving the district's 2024–2025 budget during its Sept. 8, 2025 meeting. The board voted to submit the FY-25 audit report and to print the district's annual financial report.
Superintendent Kevin Feeney opened the public budget hearing at 6:15 P.M. and closed it at 6:20 P.M. before the board took the adoption vote. The motion to adopt the budget was made by Stephanie Southall and seconded by C.J. Dziuban; all members voted aye. Earlier consent items included ratification of AP bills totaling $893,200.41 and payroll runs for Aug. 15 and Aug. 30 (combined payrolls listed in the meeting packet).
