Principals report enrollment, staffing and start‑of‑year plans across Wilmington district

L. J. Stevens Intermediate Principal Kevin Mikuce reported 329 students in grades 2–5 and said 75% of teachers already have classrooms prepared. Middle School Principal Adam Spicer reported 257 students and completion of the first phase of the library renovation. High School Principal Scott Maupin reported 392 students and detailed fall sports participation (85 football, 35 volleyball, 17 golf, 10 cheer); he noted there is no boys soccer team this year due to low sign‑ups.
