La Grange SD 105 approves multiple hires, resignations and leaves

The La Grange SD 105 Board of Education approved multiple personnel actions during the Sept. 22 meeting. Motions passed by roll call included the employment of five individuals (Brenda Arguelles as Administrative Assistant/Parent Liaison at Ideal Elementary at $23.00/hour; Elizabeth Chapiesky as paraprofessional at $18.00/hour; Jennifer Czajka as building secretary at $23.00/hour pending background check; Maria Mendoza as lunchroom monitor at $18.00/hour; and Favian Parra as night custodian at Hodgkins at $19.50/hour) and the acceptance of eight resignations listed in the minutes.
The board also approved a leave of absence for teacher Sarah Grade Cruz from Oct. 31, 2025 through approximately Dec. 15, 2025, and approved a change of position for Nitsia Flores to paraprofessional with AM/PM bus duty at Hodgkins, effective Sept. 8, 2025. All employment and personnel motions were recorded as unanimous AYE votes.
